Default Spark plug question

Had a misfire on cylinder 1, pulled the spark plug and found this,
Never seen anything like this before,
Would that cause a misfire? Gap looks pretty close, but look how lopsided that top part is compare to the plug, surely it wasn't that way when I put in the plugs about a year or so.
