Default Transmission Flush Concern

I have a 2010 E-150, 4.6L V8 engine. Ford dealer recommends a Transmission flush as part of 60,000 mile service. In the past, I've heard that tranny flushes should not be done. What's the best way to change the ATF? .

Also, small maintenance guide states to change the AT filter when vehicle has a TorqShift transmission. How can I determine if I have a TorqShift transmission?

On your vehicle's door label should be a code letter/number for "TR" , the transmission code in the vehicle. Can you supply that info?

The Torqueshift trans was intended for use with diesel engines, good possibility you have a 6R80 trans,

Hanky- The only "TR" nomenclature I found on door is "INT TR XW". Just back from Ford dealer. I gave Ford VIN # and they said I did not have a TorqShift trans. As you probably realize, I don't have a diesel engine. I've called 3 Ford dealers near me and they all do the trans flush. Still a little concerned about flushing the trans, but leaning in that direction. Thanks for your response!

Trans 'flush' isn't the standard any longer,, the trans fluid is 'exchanged' now, meaning just that and doesn't raise any concerns.

Hayapower-Very good point!!!! ! Although Service Advisors referred to it, and explained it as a Trans flush, dealer cost service sheets refers to it as a "Fluid Exchange". It appeared to me that the Service Advisors I spoke with were not up to date. Feeling more confident now. Appreciate your input!!

FYI-15 years ago I had a trans flush done on an older, but perfectly fine Chrysler trans which did not go well. Trans started declining a few weeks later. Hence my initial concern.
