Default Vent Blower is Running, But I Get No Air...

I recently purchased a 2000 E-250 from a private seller. What I have noticed is that the heater / AC blower is running (at least I can hear it running) but I get no air out of the vents. I feel a slight breeze from the defroster vents but that's it. I have tried selecting different options but nothing changes. So I'm assuming there's a problem with the selector switch on the dash. I have ordered the factory manuals for this guy but they're still in the mail. Does anyone know if possible things to check first? Maybe there's a fuse for a selector motor that is blown...

Thanks and I just joined!! Hope to be here a while!!

Welcome to the sight. most of the time when you don't get heat or cold air blowing through the vents the blending door is closed. I don't remember if they were or are still controlled by vac. or by an electric motor.

Ah ha! That sounds like the problem. At least I know what to call it now... Well I guess I'll wait for the factory service manuals and see how difficult it will be to repair them. Thanks for the quick reply!!

--Actually I think it's called the "damper door" from my cursory search around the web. I think there's an electrical switch for it that is compatible with the 1997-2010 models!! Hopefully I don't have to take the entire van apart to get to it!!

All that stuff is usually located on the passenger side behind the dash or glove box.
