Default 2007 Ford Edge brake issues

I’ve had my edge for two years just recently having issues with my brake when I go to stop it feels spongy makes almost like little bit grinding sound hard to describe talked to local ford dealer they’re saying could be brake booster, anyone else’s do this? Any advice be helpful

I can appreciate your attempting to get info from the forum.
When it comes to brakes and brake problems , that is a safety issue and speaking for myself I would like to help, but there is something wrong with this picture and the problem should be checked out by a reputable shop. Please don't be offended , it could be yours or other folks safety involved. Diagnosing without actually looking at the problem is not the best move. Get it looked at , thanks.
