Default 2015 Edge SPort Oil Pan

i own the 2015 Ford Edge Sport with almost 40,000 miles and have had issues with the oil pan multiple times. To be exact, I’m going on my 5th one. The first oil pan was replaced at 3,200 miles and the 2nd pan within the first year. The dealership has mentioned that all the pans they have received are warped as well as not fitting properly. The dealership orders two to three additional pans which typically is a 2-3 week process until a “decent” pan comes in. I have tried taking my Edge to a different Ford dealer and the leak is worse than ever. Both dealerships have followed Ford’s recommendations on how to “fix” the issue. This time around the oil leak is causing an awful burning smell as the oil is saturating the underneath of the vehicle. The dealerships have had me vehicle for approx 1 week (each time) to “fix” the issue. I am now starting to have turbo issues while merging onto highways. I have called Ford to place a complaint twice and what a waste of time that was. The supervisor was AWFUL! So awful, had to hang up the phone. Has anyone had this type of problem with the oil pan and was the issue eventually fixed. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Default 2.7 Oil Pan

I have had the same issue. My brother in-law is a Ford Master Tech. They are sealing them witht Gray Diesel sealant and letting it sit for 2-3 days to dry. I have had No issues since.

A lot of newer vehicles specify "Synthetic motor oil". There is special RTV sealant/adhesive for engines that use synthetic oil. This usually works pretty well.
