Post 2015 Edge Titanium - bearing growl - not PTU

My Edge with 150,000Km has developed a growl which sounds to be a dry/bad bearing in the engine area (below front floor hump). Had it to the dealer and they diagnosed as it being the PTU. Paid about $3k to have it replaced, however the noise is still there. The noise is most noticeable in the 40Km speed when decelerating but seems to be present at all speeds but not as noticeable due to vehicle/road noise. The noise is relative to the speed. I do not believe it to be wheel bearings as it doesn't have those characteristics (change while turning, etc).
It seemed odd that I did not notice this noise until after having it in for service (oil change, tire rotation, etc) and a recall repair for a transmission bushing replacement. I don't believe it to be tires either as there is no notable change in noise due to air pressure, turning, etc.
The Dealer stated it would not be related to the bushing and were confident it was the PTU as it is a common failure on these vehicles.
I would appreciate anyone's ideas on this. I suppose it could be a bad PTU replacement or heaven forbid something with the transmission (can't bear the though of that expense)?

I would take it back to your dealer. You paid $3k for nothing. They didn't fix it.I wouldn't let them off the hook.
