2015 Ford Edge Sport - AWD Intermittent Starting Problems
Hello -
Looking for any advice on the following:
About 1 out of every 20 times I try and start the vehicle, the car just won't start.
No errors, press the push button, full accessory power comes on, and nothing happens. I hear some electrical noises, but the car doesn't crank. I'll try it again and still nothing. This has happened in rain, hot and cold weather. If I wait for 10-30mins, all of a sudden it's working again and starts without problems for the next 20-30 times until randomly it decides not to start.
I've taken it to two dealers (I live in the NYC area and unfortunately the dealers are pretty awful). Each time, they've told me nothings wrong or they thought it's the battery (and replaced it) and tried to send me on my way. I've decided I'm not taking it back until they decide to do something with this, but has anyone seen this type of problem? The technician said that he got error code P06E9 (which is some sort of starter failure) but they're telling me the starter checks out. I've attached a video of the latest time this has happened (car started about an hour later without problems).
Car is still under warranty so this is especially frustrating - been in the shop almost two weeks now.
Best,
Aaron
