Default 1999 Tauras warm starting problems

My Tauras has just over 100,000 miles and just a few months ago it started having problems starting after it was shut off for a short period. There really hasn't been problems when starting it cold in the morning, except maybe a couple times. Just about a month or so ago, the battery was diagnosed as having one bad cell and replaced. There were no problems with warm or cold starts again until just the last couple of days. After driving for a while and shutting auto off, the car will not turn over/start. You may hear one click when attempting to start the auto, not click, click, click, etc... It's actually very quiet, nothing seems to fire/engage the ignition switch/starter. There has alway been power to all bells and whistle/instrument clusters. Just will not turn over after being shut off. Sometimes it has to sit all day before it starts and other times it will start after a couple of hours. It's not very consistent after running for a while, hit or miss. I would appreciate any and all feedback concerning similar experiences and what was done to remidy the problem. Thanks in advance for feedback!

Have you checked the starter relay?
