Default 2017 Edge Sport tail light replacement

I replaced the passenger side tail light with a used module from a 2017 Titanium edition, the light are stamped with the same numbers, and look identical. The old cracked one works correctly, the new one hyper-flashes the turn signal, all else is normal. Error code B1266-01 right rear turn lamp feedback. Should I assume the light is bad, or can the body computer be reset/reprogramed? Thanks in advance for your time. : )

Can we inquire as to why you needed to replace the lamp assy?
Was there any physical damage done there?

There is a good possibility the replacement is defective.

Sure, I backed into a mailbox, and simply cracked the plastic, not even a scratch on the car. I thought I was lucky, until now. perhaps I should have filed the insurance claim. : )

You could always look at it this way.
If your ins co forgives the first accident this could be less expensive than if a big mailbox struck your vehicle and did extensive damage. What are you thoughts there?
