2019 Ford Edge lift gate won't open or close automattcaly.
Yeah. She has this thing that unlocks the car when she get close to it. The car doesn't use a key to start it though. That's probably what your talking about. I sent her a text and asked her. Waiting for a reply, but I'm sure that's it. The car won't start unless she has it on her. The lift gate still doesn't work with it.

OK, that helps, so we know that pass key has to be near for the gate to work.
The next thing is to look through the owner's manual in the maintenance section and there should be a diagram and description of what fuse powers the tailgate module.
this can be easily done with a test light or voltmeter touching the top of each end of the fuse to verify power is available at BOTH ends of the fuse.
I am aware the vehicle has to be where you are in order to do this, so how you get that done is another challenge.

She isn't going to be able to get to my house until Friday the Nov. 21st. She had a friend that lives close to her try to check the fuses, but he said he'd have to take out the air cleaner to get access and didn't feel comfortable doing that. I watched a YouTube video and it said the one inside the a car that controls the lift gate is number 14 and the one under the hood is number 59. When she gets here I'll look in her owner's manual to see if that's correct, but I'm terrible at finding stuff like that.
On a different matter, I watched a YouTube video of someone testing the fuses on a 2019 Ford Edge. They said it was fuse number 59 and 14, but my sister's owner's manual says it's 10 and 76. She has a friend that tried to test them but couldn't access 76.It was under the hood and needed specialized tools to take remove a fuse bank on top of it.
Unfortunately, trying this third hand is not going to work.
There are ways to get at things to conduct certain tests, but it seems we are attempting this with one hand tied behind our back.
Until you can get at the vehicle where we can communicate , we can't accomplish anything. Also , if initialization procedure is required for the lift gate module, that can get a little complicated ,
