Door clanks when opening
On my 08' Edge (just 2 months and 3,800 miles old) my rear passenger side door actually "CLANKS" really hard while opening and while it is extremely noticeable when it's cold, it is hardly noticeable during warmer temps. Any ideas? I've dropped it off at the dealership and they said they fixed it but it is obviously doing it still...
On another note while driving about 2 weeks ago, I noticed that the traction control light (picture of the car w/squiggly lines under it) was lit on my dash and if you push the button it would not go out. It stayed lit like that for about two days. Then I also started noticing a very strong smell that smelt like burning wires. That smell went on for about two days and although I pulled the car over several times I was not able to locate the origin. The dealership said that there was a module that is responsible for activiating and shutting off the anti roll stability system/ traction control & ABS brakes that had gone bad which was responsible for that light coming on as it is now off but they weren't sure about the smell of burning wires and if it was that module that caused it when it burnt out. I'm not sure if that was what caused that smell either as that light was on for a good two days before any burning smells came about... Any ideas as to what that burning smell was and should I be concerned??
Any info would be greatly appriciated!
Thanks!
