Tried to change brakes but this is what I found:


Original brake, 10 years, 110k miles
When shall I change the brake?

 

Looks like one pad is worn down to its backing plate. Rotor cooling vanes caked up with mud.

 

For what it's worth, on my 2011 Edge I had to replace my rear pads twice in 125,000 miles, and when I did them the second time I decided to do the fronts as well. The fronts were only about 40% worn, and that was the first time they had been touched.

 

OP is almost a year old, I figure he has it sorted by now.
