05 Escape Battery Light
My battery light is on and I went down and had the battery tested they said it was fine could be the alternator and tested it and said it was bad. So I replaced the alternator and it is still on. Any idea what it could be? It an 2005 Escape v6 3.0 XLT
There have been many problems with aftermarket rebuilt alternators.
The better thing to do would be to confirm the alternator is capable of putting out the required current and that would require an amp clamp on the line from the alt to the battery. That way you would know for sure you won't wind up with a dead/ low battery condition. Mass rebuilders for some reason can't always get the alternators right and often the solution was to get an alt from Ford. Better luck was had even by using a local alternator repair shop repair your old alternator.
