Default 06 escape AWD light on dash need help

Hello all I have a 2006 Ford Escape XLT with a service all wheel drive light on my dashboard I've plugged in a scanner and it's not showing any codes on my scanner all mechanics say there is nothing wrong with the vehicle my child needs to use my vehicle for his road test and where I live you can't do it with dashboard lights going off any tips would be greatly appreciated. I don't think it's the transfer case as there is no loss of power to the wheels and no odd noise coming from the car.

Some vehicles tun a pre-check of the wiring and components every time the key is turned on.

This could be one of those times when there is no code for it. Might be a good move to check for power and grounds to the components involved.
