2001 Escape XLS 3.0L, I just had the under-engine splash guard fall off after having to get towed (for other reasons which are fixed now). Since my serpentine belt and transmission hoses are now exposed underneath and to the sides, and with snow coming, I was wondering how long I could drive without those plastic guards safely, as this is our only bad-weather worthy vehicle. Also, since I need to get a bolt and fastener set to re-install them, can anyone provide me with a diagram of how they bolt onto the bumper, frame and fenders and what bolts/fasteners I need to have? I searched all over but can't seem to find a diagram of that particular part.
