I bought this 2001 Ford Escape 6 CYL and Have been having a lot of problems and I have been knocking them out one at of time.

The New problem that I have noticed was when I am going 67 to 80 mph on the highway, the car does not like to kick in the upper gear and when I try to pass a Car on the high way, the Engine Revs up 5000RPM> but the car does not want to go. Fluid level is fine and All other speeds work fine. I was told different things. Does anyone know about this problem? I have noticed 1 weak Vacvum hose on my intake manifold that pinches under the vacum and I am not sure if that is my problem. Any help would be appriciated. Thanks
