Is there an alternet evap canister solenoid switch that i can purchase that would work on my escape ? Im finding that the oe recomended switch is way too exspensive for what is worth and for what it does

 

If OEM is too expensive for your liking, aftermarket parts are a better alternative than redesigning portions of your evaporative system.

 

Can we ask how it was determined to be defective?
There are certain conditions that must be met before it can do it's job.
Then there tests that need to be done to confirm if it is actually working even if the signals to it are correct.
