2004 Headlights
This forum is so different than others I belong to, this thread has over 200 views but no one makes any replies. I guess most Ford owners don't have much to say and there isn't a lot out there that want to help the ones that need it from what I see here and other threads, very sad.
Going to look much nicer, and more functional!
My 05 S/D had fairly decent low beams, but highs were pretty poor for candle power and for extended reach/wide beams. To get decent all around lighting, I’d have to hold the flash to pass on if in doubt.
I tried all the aftermarket offerings for stock installs with only little improvement.. Here, there are a lot night walkers!
I ended up installing two aircraft landing lights around the tow hook pockets with activation on the turn signal lever. Being careful when/where to use them, they lit up the roadway like daylight extending out 1/4 mile and plenty wide

We used to put landing lights in the high beams on the old 60s and 70s cars with quads before you could get the euro halogens, worked pretty good. About a week ago I helped a friend put projectors in his SD and he is much happier. He totaled his daily about a year ago hitting a bull elk on his way home from work and doesn't want a repeat.
