Default 2006 FEH transfer case/PTU fluid change

First, I'm new to the forum and saying hello. Second, I just had my PTU replaced. Known issue with the pickup tube bolt loosening and fluid leaking out. I didn't detect it and the PTU ran dry. Had it replaced. From now on I want to check the fluid and drain and replace if necessary. I don't see a drain plug but I do see what I think is the fill plug. I figure I can use a suction gun to remove the fluid if I need to but I just want to confirm the plug I see in the first pic, upper left, 3/8 drive, blue dot in center is the fill plug. Any thoughts from anyone?

I also found this service manual diagram which indicates it as a fill plug. Figured I would put all I had in this location for anyone looking for the same issue.

Any thoughts as to a drain plug? I don't see one anywhere.

If the new ptu is already filled the fluid lasts for life. No intervals are required. There is a special fill procedure for them when they run low. Your all set.

So I have been skeptical of the ptu since it was replaced. Pulled the fill nut and tried to drain some fluid. I still can't figure out the drain plug so I siphoned fluid out. It was pitch black after just one month. I'll be going back to the service station to "discuss" but I also realize that break in is part of the process. Doing machine work has taught me that. But, I have a click when I press the pedal and 2 when I come to an abrupt stop. Sounds like a trans issue but since the ptu is new and had fluid is not going to be that. The ATF was replaced just 2 weeks ago so I'm doubting its that either. Any guesses?
