Hello, I'm trying to find out how to replace my door ajar switch in my 2007 ford escape XLS. When I look up the videos I can't find anything for my car. I am trying to find out where it is located. I know it is in the door, but where? Could someone please help me.

The door ajar switch is located in the door latch.
If the warning lamp wont go out, did you try liberally lubing the latch with a non greasy lube, silicon, graphite based etc, not WD, then rapidly opening/closing the door to see if the switch pintle frees up?
I can send you some illustration on removing the latch if needed...

 

Yes, I did try spraying it down with lube. It didn't work, if you could send the illustrations, that would be greatly appreciated. I have to try and take the latch out today. I just want to get it fixed.

Ok so unless you want to remove all four door panels you are going to need to use a high end scan tool to do a smart junction box(SJB) self test to see which door is reading as ajar.
Your dealer can do this if you pay them, honesly I dont know if non ford scan tools can test this.
Does the vehicle have memory seats or not?
