Default 2011 escape 3.0 killing battery

My 2011 is killing the battery and has a draw of 2 amp on the charged battery with battery disconneted and multimeter connected in series. Charges fine when running 14.4 volts , I pulled every fuse in both panels no change on the draw. I am now looking for the fuse for the alt probably about 175 amp as alt is 150 amps but I cannot locate it. I assume there is another fuse box or link somewhere any ideas?

There is a 150 amp fusible link in the wire lead from the B+ term of the alternator. You could remove the lead from the B+ with caution or disconnect the NEG battery cable remove and isolate the B+ cable from ground then reconnect the NEG cable and check for the amp draw.

Good you traced the parasitic load down

this is a very good procedure for others that have parasitic loads on battery killing them in short order

I think any add-on equipment like the one you mentioned, will put a lot of stress on the battery.
