2012 Escape AIR CONDITIONING FAIL?
I own a 2012 Escape and the AC blows hot air. I'm looking into the problem and I have found that many Ford Escape owners are complaining of the same issue. Ford doesn't seem to have a recall that I can find. Anyone else here having this problem? This started happening a year ago while we were visiting Florida on vacation. Then it started working fine again so I figured the condenser kicked in and it was fine. It worked almost all the way through the summer and started blowing warm air again later in the year. I brought it to my mechanic to check it out and he said that the pressure was way high and probably needed to be brought back to Ford. One of his guys told me this was a very common issue with Escapes from 2009-2012. It costs $1000 + to replace the system FORD SHOULD RECALL THIS iSSUE

I just replaced my condenser at Ford...$530 for the part and 3 hrs labour at $110/hr......so theres your thousand bucks. Same thing, worked fine last year. First time turning it on this year it was lovely hot air. Unfortunatly the brilliant designers at Ford decided to make the Tranny fluid cooler and A/C condenser all in one. There's a guy on YouTube fordtech macalu he explains it all. you can find it cheaper on line and do it yourself( if so inclined) but my wife wouldn't let me.
