Default 2014 Escape repair has become a bad dream

My 2014 Escape has been in the shop for 3 weeks. I broke down driving out if nowhere with no warning. It was misdiagnosed as a bad alternator that fried the battery. After all that was replaced it turns out it was the fuel pump. Fuel pump was replaced but it was acting like it was before (wont turn over/struggling to feed fuel) so they replaced the module---still the same issues. Really hoping it's the fuel pump/module and that an act of God or bad luck because I'm starting to get nervous there's something worse on the horizon and, of course, I need my car back soon. I'm not a big car guy and the jargon goes over my head like I'm talking to a doctor and I'm getting nervous there's a bigger issue here that I definitely won't be able to afford.
