Default Do I need a new engine?

I brought my 2014 used Escape titanium to the dealer in July as I was having white smoke coming from the exhaust intermittently. They could not reproduce that having the car for 3 full days. They said the car threw no codes either so they looked it over and said they found nothing and gave it back to me. The car was under warranty at this time. Now i took the car to a local mechanic and he says he thinks there is a turbo issue. I bring the car back to Ford and he'll them that, and to look at it in more depth. They said they did a dye test and then they can look at anything with special glasses to see if they find any leaks. They just call me and told me that there is a cylinder leaking and the car needs a new engine. Now its out of warranty. I told the dealer I brought the car in for this exact same issue under warranty and they need to contact Ford and see what they are going to do about this. I also see there is a class action lawsuit for this issue right now also. What are your expert opinions here. ??

Thanks Roger
