Default Ford escape 2010 transmission issues

Hi guys,
I need your input on something. I currently have a ford escape 2010 V6 automatic transmission. The transmission have been change for a new ford transmission about 7 years ago. Recently, for some reason the car have issues shifting from second gear to third. The rpm increase and slam into third gear. Than it could stay in third gear and won't downshift. Sometime it goes into neutral when on drive. I scanned for codes and i got P0756 - Shift solenoid B - performance or stuck off and the code P2701 - Transmission friction element B, apply time - range / performance problem.

The transmission fluid is at correct level and it's clean. I've been removing the oil plug per 15000km and adding fresh LV mercon oil to clean the fluid clean so the fluid is bright red right now.

The weird part of all this, this evening i've started the car and it shift perfectly in all 5 gears. But i can't tell when the issu will come back. I've been experiencing this issu for about a week. When the issu is occuring, turning it off and on won't fix the issu. Tonight, i've been driving the car for 30 mins, stop the engine and turn back on and no issu...

What could cause the transmission to act like this ?

Thanks for your time,

Dan

When you look at so many parts involved, it could be electrical or mechanical or both. The days of throwing out a cause could be one in maybe 10 and even then could be incorrect. One condition can have a few causes and sometimes require disassembly to verify. The days of turning a screw are long gone.

Codes do not always tell you what part is defective or malfunctioning, they provide direction and the rest is ,hopefully, up to the person doing the work.

Only you know the condition and maintenance history of your vehicle.

A word of caution when purchasing a replacement vehicle;
There are quite a few used vehicles out there with problems that were too expensive to repair or the problem was not found and corrected, so what did the owner do ? They either sold it, traded it or just got rid of it.
Sound familiar ?
If you are unhappy with your present vehicle , get estimates for the repair required and you know what you have.

There will be loads of flood vehicles that were never reported ,cleaned up and put for sale. Buyer Beware ,especially of a deal too good to refuse !
If never reported ,no record, good money maker and money pit for unsuspecting potential owner
