Default Ford escape 2010 v6 3 liter

Hi there,

The wrench light started to appear on my ford escape lately.

i’ve hooked up a wifi obd2 scanner connected with my cell and here what i see has reading for the transmision fluid transmission sensor:

all is well and operate as normal when the car is cold or travelling at highway speed. The sensor reads normal temps for the transmission oil and did go up to 90 some degree celcius while driving on highway for over 100km but the issu starts when:

the car is at normal operating temps and driving in city streets going bellow 50km-hr or when at normal operating temps and at park idling. When i suspect something odd is happening is when i can heard the engine fan turning over and the wrench light is on. At that time, the sensor reads incorrect reading and alot of time reads -40celcius.

now my first thought is the sensor is bad and need changing? What you guys think about that? And if so, what’s are we talking about as of labor time?

thanks all for your help,

Dan
