Front brakes on 2012 Ford Escape

I’m changing the brakes on my 2012 Ford Escape but I’m not sure if I have steel or phenolic pistons on my front brakes. Any help? Thank you very much!

You can always try a magnet. Only sure way to tell.
Motorcraft states "Phenolic pistons (where originally specified)". So your guess is as good as mine.

If you can clean the piston off, phenolic are usually BLACK, while non phenolic are light colored, if not rusry , will have a shine on them..

Magnet is great way to tell.
