Gas tank fills up slowly...
Hi,
I own a 2006 Ford Escape 4wd and when I want to fill the gas tank the gas fills in very slow, very strange problem and when I remove the fuel cap you can hear the pressure release when unscruing the cap.
I have notice that if I drive with the fuel cap removed, nothing out of the ordinary occurs, I was in the assumption that a light should come on or something indicating the gas cap is not srewed properly or something.
I have checked the venting hoses underneet the truck and nothing is out of the ordinary...
Anyone knows what is wrong, or is there supposed to be a metal like door for the gas fillup nozzle that is usualy pushed when filling up gas in the metal gas tank hose that should be there because after I open the gas cap there is nothing in the way. I just wonder if that would ove disconnected and slide down in the fill up hose to tank and stuck in the way down there.
