hybrid battery is dead
Here's additional information on my 2009 Mariner. I bought the car used about 8 months ago. It's been my daily driver. Love it. I have put about 9000 miles on it. Last week it failed to start. Dash message was to pull over and stop immediately. towed the car to a friends shop ( he has no experience with hybrids). He scanned the battery module and determined the high voltage battery was very low on voltage. The 12v battery tested good.
Everyday the car performs excellently. All of a sudden failure makes me believe a cell is bad in the high voltage battery. But I have no experience with these, so I'm asking for recommendations. Thanks for reading!

Add in a few more bucks to cover residential delivery of $200, plus another $500 for the core return however you will get that core charge back minus the return shipping cost.
Truthfully i thought the cost would be higher, welcome to the concern with all electric battery technology, it is the future however are some obstacles to overcome.
Shipping: The cost of shipping to you is included with your purchase. This offer is good for the entire continental United States. A $200 fee will be added for residential delivery. Let Greentec Auto make it simple to return your core to us, ask about our reduced return shipping rates.
Core Charge: A refundable "core deposit" of $500.00 will be added to your order at checkout. Once we receive your old battery, we will refund the core deposit back to you minus the cost of return shipping. Cores must be returned within 45 days of purchase. This applies to shipping orders only. In all other circumstances, the core will be picked up at the time of service, no deposit required.
I think the price pretty reasonable as long as your Escape Hybrid is running well. I had a 2006 that was still tuning like new in the original battery at 190,000. It occasionally throws up a Stop Car Now warning, but then starts right up and runs fine with no recorded diagnostic codes. I gave it to a friend and they love it. I just upgraded to a 2022 Escape PHEV! 🙂
