backprobing wires w/the key in run,(engine off) and found battery voltage on the green wire and not much else on any of the other wires. .05 volts and fluctuating on some of them. maf sensor seems to be working (grams of airflow increasing w/rpm increase); this is on two different maf sensors. no 5 volt reading on any wire. p0113 mil set on second start on both maf's. -40f on iat.

Can you verify a 5 volt reference voltage present at the throttle position sensor when the key is on ?

okay, we have 6 wires at the tps; lt. green/blk., yellow, blue/or., brown, dk. green/blk., and yellow/brn. key on, reading thru the loom plug we get 4.86v on the lt. green/blk, 5.05v on the yellow, and 4.38v on the yellow/brn. the others have a negligible reading-.05 or less. of course plug is disconnected from the tps.
