Liftgate latch stuck
Aloha from Honolulu.
I have owned a 2011 Ford Escort 4 cylinder for almost 4 years.
I was wondering if anybody has any idea on how to open a rear gate door latch that seems to be stuck other than the conventional way, opening the back side of the gate and reaching for the actuator.
In my specific case that is not working, the latch itself seems to be stuck and no matter how hard I pull from that actuator linkage it will not budge.
I should also mention that I have replaced that part a little over a year ago and I had no problem opening the gate to do so then, this time however it is not moving.
Any ideas?
