Default Navigation

I bought a used 2014 Escape recently. The dealership didn't sell new Fords so they really weren't able to explain a lot of the features, especially the Sync & Navigation stuff. I'm slowly figuring it out on my own. From what I've gathered if I want real time navigation on my screen, I need to see if my car is equipped to take an SD Navigation card and purchase one. I see I can get a new one from Ford for a hefty price but I have also seen a better price thru places like Ebay but I'm scared I might buy the wrong thing. I would appreciate any help to get me the right thing.

Have you registered your vehicle at www.owner.ford.com yet? That site and the owner rewards can be a great benefit.
Nice to always have access to documentation. Get the manual in PDF form. Search for accessories and parts (also register at FordParts.com where just the diagrams are worth it.)
Ebay items may be out of date or they just figured to let their smart-phone do the navigating for them.
