Default RE: P0401 CODE

Was code P1408 present during a KOER (running test) as well? If there isn't a restriction in the EGR system, or EGR valve problems, vacuum circuit is good as well as wire circuits, and the vacuum regulator valve is functioning correctly, then the (DPFE) Differential Pressure Feedback Exhaust sensor for EGR flow is probably bad.. I've replaced more than few in various models.. It some cases the DPFE has been re-engineered.. Check the hoses at the DPFE for leaks, and the small manifold supply tubes for carbon restriction/s with compressed air or wire probe.. Most likely the DPFE sensor as they get pounded with exhaust emissions continuously, moisture contamination, and exhaust heat that corrodes the sensor inside...
...

Here's a image of the sensor..
