I don't know how much help I can be, but if we review some of the things that can affect the converter just maybe that might help.
Converters usually last a heck of a lot longer than 69,000 mi.
The problem is to determine what is poisoning the converter.
Anti freeze is one of them, as are some adhesive/sealers , but one of the most troublesome is an engine that is running very rich.
Was there any occasion where the check engine lite came on or was blinking , but was ignored?
Is the check engine lite on now?
Has anyone been adding any fuel additives to the fuel ie. methanol to prevent fuel line/filter freezing? I'm sure there are other contributors to this forum that have some questions also.
These questions need to be covered before offering any type solution.
