Removal of 2008 Ford Escape Factory Stereo
I just purchased an adapter for my 2008 Ford Escape so I can plug my iPhone in and have it charge and the ability to change music through the steering wheel audio controls. I have no clue how to remove the factory stereo as I don't see any holes for the common tool that is used..
I found the following instructions, but would love a visual of the steps so I don't brake/wreck anything:
Use panel removal tool (PRT) to unsnap upper vent panel. Start from windshield and pull toward you. Use a PRT to unsnap dash panel below stereo. Extract (4) 7mm hex head screws securing stereo panel. Use 8 mm wrench to remove ground strap from passenger side of stereo. Unplug and remove stereo. Extract (4) T-20 Torx head screws securing stereo brackets. Extract (4) T-20 Torx head screws securing A/C controls.
Would love some help!!
