Hello all....I'm new to these forums. My problem arives as soon as my LW 2002 Ecape starts up. It has the 2xOHcam v6. I changed the battery,fuel filter,cleaned all the air intake sensors etc. What am I missing here? It starts and will hardly keep an idle,sometimes backfiring when accelerator is pushed down. After 20-30 seconds, everything seems fine. I drove it 5 miles, stopper the unit, it started like new. It also has 82,000 miles. Any quality advise will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Did you just purchase fuel? Sounds like your vehicle could have water in the fuel. Try a bottle of drygas and see if that helps get rid of the problem.

 

Water in the fuel? I use a bottle of Sea Foam in the gas tank every oil change. I don't think it is H2O in the fuel. But anything is possible! Thanks for the nice reply.
