Plz someone tell me how to take up the center console in my 2004 escape. I've been trying for the past 4 hours to figure it out. Can i just take off the top section that holds the cups or do I take off the bottom front dash where the cell plug and compartments are or do I have to take the whole darn thing off? I've already unscrewed so many bolts and such but nothing is giving[:@]

The whole console comes out. First remove the oval ring around the floor shifter (if equipped) and the top cover and then remove the screws under the cupholders and there is also a screw on each side of the console that is visible when the seats are all the way forward. I think there are also screws inside the big compartment under the padding.
