Default Stuttering at low speeds

Hey guys, i got a question. I have a 2001 Escape 4 cyl 5 speed Manual. i bought the car about 3 years ago and ever since, at low speeds, it makes a very violent shaking. weve taken it in to a bunch of shops and no one could find anything wrong with it. i know its not that im letting off the clutch too fast or anything like that. i notice it when im crawling along in traffic mainly. anybody got any suggestions as to what could be wrong?? Thanks for the help.
