I need help. My wife has a 1999 escort zx2 twin cam. The problem is when the air is on the front vents it may blow out of the defrost or your feet. I spoke to someone at ford and they said it is a bend door actuator or a vacum. He also told me that my wifes model has the bend door actuators inside of the motor so you need to replace the motor to replace the actuator. Is this true? If not please tell me what i need to know to get this fixed. If it is true and I have to replace the motor does anyone have a good how to link?

Thank you but the site is only for Trucks and the dealer informed me that on this model the blend door is inside the AC motor. Any suggestions?

 

You might want to check the site again because they do have kits for ford cars also.
