91 Escort Fuel Cut Out Light
Hello everyone, i'm new to the forums but did try to search a bit before i posed this question, i couldnt find much answers. Hopefully someone can help point me in the right direction. My wife an I came home from docs appointment 2 days ago, the car ran fine on the way home. Yesterday my wife goes out to make a run to the grocery store, and the car will not start and is showing the fuel cutout light.
I checked the inertia switch, and even actuated it a few times then reset it.
The Fuel pump is running and i am getting good preasure at the shrader valve.
I have adequate spark at the coil pack.
I tested voltage on the #1 injector, couldnt get to the rest. It was hitting 1.3 volts as it fired. I'm not sure what they are supposed to read.
The timing belt is intact.
Have also disconnected battery for half hour.
Could this be a cam sensor issue? like i said it ran fine , shut off fine, 2 days later we go to start and it just turns over and we get the cut out light.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Brooke
