Idles great that's about it
I have a 98 escort wagon 2.0 sohc. I have ran a compression check it is great so that leaves that valveout. I have changed my tps nothing has changed. It is hard starting but it will fire up and idles great and when you hit the throttle it boggs down. Could the timing belt skipped a tooth and know it out of time? Could somebody help.
If it passed the compression test it more than likely isn't the timing belt skipping a tooth. I would check the Fuel filter and do a pressure test to make sure it is getting enough fuel as it sounds like it is not adding more fuel when you add more air.
