the operation idle on my 93 escort wagon is way to high. it idles great in park and a when its in drive its a little rough. it idles at 25mph how to i lower the idle is there a sensor i need to adjust or is it fixed i hope somone can help me

HI its been my experience in the past that if your IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE is sticking that could make your escort idle high. there is a silver cylinder on top of your engine that when your car's idle is high if you were to hit it it may correct your idle..... if it does then you should replace it. hope this helps..
