Hi Can someone help? I have a 2000 escort zx2 that i just noticed today makes a tapping noise when put in reverse. (almost like lifter tapping) only when cold (50 deg out) . From the bell housing i believe of the transmission. once you drive it it doesnt do it anymore. Only in reverse... Sitting still with foot on brake. 140000 miles not sure if tranny fluid was ever changes (I bought it at 108000)..Looks normal Pinkish brown no smell..Shifts great still
any ideas?
