Default What are these wires for?

I'm a proud owner of a 1995 Ford Escort and I just recently found/notice a bunch of wires that seemingly doing nothing but found no such diagram of what they are for and where should they be connecting to or for. It is located on the passenger side under the hood just below the Antifreeze reservoir. Please take a look at these two pictures and let me know what is going on or should I be worried that some small animal might have eaten part of the wires? The funny thing is my car runs find and nothing is popping up. Not so much as a 'Check Engine' light.

From the appearance it looks like animal work, the human kind. Could someone possibly have had an anti-theft system in it before you bought it? Have you been able to see anywhere other loose ends that might reveal what was in there?

No. I bought it brand new from the dealer. The silver cover you see there on the other batch of wires, I didn't do that either. So I'm thinking that the engineers might have badly designed the electrical lines for this car model and didn't have anything to connect the wires to when they finished? No animal can eat all that wires because the space that the wires are in is very well tightly seal.

Do you have this car model? can you check under the hood of your car and see what you have in the spot I'm talking about? It would be great if you can take a picture too and post it here or email me. I'll PM you my email address if you want.

Sorry to say I don't have that model car. If you bought it from the dealer that way and no one else has ever worked on it then I would suspect someone at the dealership removed what they wanted or whoever worked on the car in the past removed something from there. Manufacturers don't leave wiring like that anytime!!!
If you can locate a wiring diagram it just might have the colors of those wires on it , then you can trace them out to see what they were intended for.
