alternator problems
does anyone know the life expectancy of the alternator in a 04 diesel? there were problems with mine and it had to be replaced. if i can find out how long it is supose to last then i could get my money back if you have any information please help me out

I think if you buy those parts new, they only have a one year warranty on them.
Sometimes they last two years, other times forever. The life also depends on how much juice you require it to produce. If you are condtanly running electrical accessories it is hard on an alternator.
