Ford Excursion So the size of the Expedition is not enough for you, then the massive Excursion is the way to go. With options including a powerful diesel engine, the Excursion is like a tractor trailer built for family use.

Default door sensors

I have a 2000 V-10 Ford Excursion, I am have trouble with the door sensor on the drivers side door. It will not sense the door closed all the time, I have to slam the door hard to make it work. Can anyone tell me where this sensor is located and how to replace or repair it?

Default RE: door sensors

The door ajar/lamp switch is located in the door latch.. It's nose/pin is mounted pointing upwards in relation to the latch.. Most times they can be unstuck by spraying a moderate amount of silcone lube, or graphite sprayect. concentrating the spray into the lower portion of the latch.. Oil based lubes can make matters worse if used as they can collect dust/dirt.. Thin penetrants like WD ect, generally won't have a long lasting affect...
