Default 2004 Expedition Losing Power and stalling

I was headed out to get my son from school and my 2004 Expedition lost power and then stalled at the end of my street. After several attempts to restart it, it finally started drove a little further then did the same thing. I was able to finally get it home but now what!!!! Any help or direction would be most appreciated.

Unless we can see something obvious with a visual inspection we usually try to determine whether it is fuel related or electrical (spark ignition) related. Sometimes if the check engine lite comes on that may put forth a code and provide some direction.
If you observe the check engine light when it won't start the light should go out when cranking the engine to get it started. If it goes out, the system is receiving a crank signal. If it doesn't, the crank signal is not being created or delivered to the computer. So we need to check that out. If that is OK , you might try spraying some carb/choke cleaner (closest to gasoline) into the intake air filter. If it starts momentarily if is usually fuel supply related. Once that is determined , we usually go from there.

Default Losing Power

So my husband changed out the idle control valve and doing some cleaning of things and we drove it all weekend and it was great but today I was heading down the freeway and it died again. I was able to restart it and get home. It did stop again on the way home and it also acted like it wanted to die another time but I was able to power through it. Not sure where to go now.....
