I purchased a 2005 expedition that had been sitting up for several months that I know of. After I got a key made I cranked it up and it has a loud ticking coming from the motor. I turned it off and checked the oil and it was about two inches above the full mark I don't know if it has been run with this much oil or not. Any ideas on what I should do next?

 

Have a good tech or Ford mechanic check it out. Sounds like it could be a candidate for some timing chain system work.
