Tons of videos showing it on F 150..cannot find the mounting location on my 2007 Expedition Eddie Bauer. It's not on the rail under the spare tire and not on the frame behind the driver side rear tire behind the shield. Called Doorman and they said they wouldn't make the part if Ford didn't list it. Called several dealers parts and service guys and they couldn't point me in any direction. This is supposed to be a frequently replaced part...WHERE IS IT LOCATED...thanks

You might have to peel back some of the covering INSIDE the rear of the vehicle. Some are mounted in the trunk.

 

Peel back what ? The area where the spare tire lowering hole is ?

 

Usually there is vinyl covering on the rear sides just in front of the tail lamps. Not an easy job without the right tools.
