Ever since I got the 2012 Expedition 4x4 I have been ruining the toe of all my dress shoes. They are getting scratched on the linkage for the emergency brake pedal which is exposed on the drivers side and very sharp!

Is any one else having this problem and is there a solution?

Not knowing just what type of surface is under that pedal , if it has ribs or surfaces that someone can cut a piece of rubber hose and slide it over the ribs and secure it there with a nylon tie or two,that might just solve the problem.
